Team Pain, a premier skate park builder

fromWinter Springs, Fla., it has been

drawing skaters from the local community

as well as skaters from surrounding cities

and throughout the state.

Connecting Community &

Originally budgeted at $225,000,

the community embraced the concept

and raised more money to qualify for

a matching grant from the Tony Hawk

Foundation as well as additional funds to

be able to add to the park’s features. A

“manny pad” was also donated by Skate

Park of Tampa.

A water fountain, benches and a nearby

picnic pavilion add to the comfort of the

park for both skaters and spectators

The skate park was named after the

longest running city councilman in

Zephyrhills history, Clyde C. Bracknell.

Bracknell was a member of the Zephyrhills

High School basketball team that won the

state championship in 1962, served on

the council for 29 years and was always

interested in encouraging projects for

youth in the community.
