Palm Harbor Library,
2230 Nebraska Ave.,
is well on its way to being the definitive
educational destination for the Palm Harbor
community. Offering a safe and secure
environment conducive to learning,
celebrating literacy and nurturing a love for
reading. Private study rooms are available for
students and test proctoring is available.
Offering countless resources to its roughly
30,000 members, the library has encouraged the
involvement of teens and children in the creation
of their own library web sites. In addition to
reading and research, library patrons can access
free computers (completing with gaming)
and printing. Library members may borrow
instruments from the library’s David Meltzer
Musical Instrument Collection, a perk for those
who want to try an instrument before buying
one, or access the library’s portable whiteboards
for individual or group study.

Where Learning and Reading Never Stops
“East Lake Community Library,
4125 East Lake Rd.
S., is experiencing a very
exciting year!” said Lois Eannel, Library
Director. “With a state budget appropriation of
$1,000,000, other grants, fundraising
and generous donors, the library will be in
renovation and expansion mode through 2017.
Serving over 100,000 residents each year is
always a challenge, but the library staff prides
itself on customer service along with programs
and services for all ages.”
East Lake’s new Community Room will
provide more opportunities for special events
and groups to utilize the library’s AV system. The
Youth Services Department will have their own
Children’s Room, and teens will also have their
own section of the library. There is also improved
parking, including a new shared lot with Cypress
Woods Elementary School.
