New Horizons Country Day School
and
Westlake Christian School
are celebrating
their 32nd and 21st anniversaries, respectively.
New Horizons is open to children from
two months of age through fifth grade. Its
curriculum is literature-based and focuses
on interactive hands-on learning. West Lake
Christian School offers an innovative curriculum
involving real-world situations and applications
for elementary and middle school students.
For those students needing to brush up on
their math skills or those determined to go to
the head of the class,
Mathnasium
is a math
only learning center that tutors students in 2nd
through 12th grade. Trained instructors assess
the needs of each child and then utilize a
customized learning plan for teaching the
math concepts the student needs to master. The
Mathnasium Method uses a combination of mental,
visual, verbal, tactile and written techniques to
increase confidence, critical thinking skills
and mathematical ability.
The Tarpon Springs Campus of
St. Petersburg
College
offers both Associate and Bachelor Degrees,
as well as certificates in a variety of fields. The
campus is also home to the Leepa-Rattner Museum
of Art, a Fine Arts Education Center and the M.M.
Bennett Library complex. An amphitheater offers
a natural, Greek-style setting for cultural events.
