Palm Harbor has a great reputation and there
are number of communities to choose from. One of
these is East Lake , located on the eastern side of
Lake Tarpon. It is bordered by the 8,000 acre Brooker
Creek Preserve which gives it a distinct “country”
feel. Several smaller communities make up this
area including East Lake Woodlands, Lansbrook,
Ridgemoor, Woodfield, Boot Ranch and Tarpon
Woods. Local shopping centers add convenience to
the other amenities and with schools being the #1
reason for moving to Palm Harbor, the majority of
those moving here are families with kids ranging
from ages 4-16.
Ozona is a quaint waterfront community located
at the western end of Tampa Road. It is actually
older than Palm Harbor and originated as a small
fishing village. Ozona boasts several excellent
seafood restaurants and is an eclectic mixture of
stately mansions and cozy beach cottages.
Located north of Ozona lies Crystal Beach,
another tranquil gulf side community which also
originated as a fishing village. It features towering
palm trees and majestic oaks that overlook quiet
streets. The Pinellas Trail traverses the town making
it an ideal spot to walk or bicycle. Crystal Beach
is comprised of older homes as well as more
modern residences.
